Frequently Asked Questions

Guests of Dolphin Cove Inn enjoy partaking in many of the activities the area has to offer and relaxing on our balconies at one of the best Manzanillo beach hotels in the area. Our guests enjoy the fact that we can accommodate groups of all sizes but still provide an enjoyable experience for couples and families looking for a traditional Mexican resort experience. Before you book your stay or before you come to our property be sure to check out our frequently asked questions below so that you can get all of your questions answered before you come visit us. 

Do you have beach access?
Yes we do have direct access to the Tesoro public beach. This is ideal as it is surrounded by the bay and makes it perfect for snorkeling and swimming as the waves are small and the tide is gentle. To get to the beach go to the bottom of the stairs below where our accommodations are located.

Is the beach good for swimming?
Yes the beach is great for swimming. It is a 100 meters beach with small quiet waves that allow for wading and swimming.

Which rooms are closer to the on-site amenities including the pool and restaurant?
The rooms closest to the amenities are the Triple studios, one double studio and the honeymoon suite. If you’d like a specific room, please give us a call before you book your room so we can make sure it’s available.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is available to our guests only in the lobby and in the on-site restaurant.

What appliances and serving wear does the kitchenette contain?
The kitchenette contains all the suppliers as a full kitchen including electric burners, a sink, fridge, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster and utensils. 

Is the hotel and rooms handicapped accessible?
Our hotel is an outdoor resort so it is not fully functional for handicapped or disabled people, but in the case that you want to stay with us we offer our guests, that need help with mobility transportation, additional assistance. This will allow you to get to the on-site amenities and facilities or to your room, please make sure to let us know before your arrival if you will require additional help, so we can plan accordingly, as it is subject to availability.

Is Dolphin Cove Inn all inclusive?
We offer our guests two types of plans one that are a B&B hotel plan or European plan. The B&B plan includes breakfast. The European plan does not include breakfast.

What other nearby beaches is good for swimming?
Audiencia beach is close to the hotel, it is located 10 minutes by car or a 25 minute walk. Ask reception for directions.

Where can we buy souvenirs during our stay at Dolphin Cove Inn?
You can visit Santiago (15 minutes by car) Miramar beach (25 minutes by car) or on Saturdays morning’s guests love to go to the market in Santiago, which is full of souvenirs.

What activities can we do in Manzanillo?
Manzanillo offers lots of water activities and tours like banana ride, kayak, paddle board, jet ski, ATV, horseback riding, sunset cruise, zip lines, tropical, ecological, colonial and city tours. For more ideas of what to do during your vacation, visit our activities page.

What restaurants do you recommend in the area?
Some of the most visited restaurants are El Vaquero, El Fogón, La toscana, Godzilla, and of course our own Paradise Restaurant that is on-site. For more recommendations, visit our restaurant page.

Where can we buy groceries to cook in our room?
There are three supermarkets by the boulevard, Comercial Mexicana in Plaza Manzanillo, Walmart two blocks away and in addition five blocks is Soriana. To get to any of the local grocery stores, you can take the local bus that stops right outside of the hotel.
